The top-discharge bin pump is a high-efficiency pneumatic conveying device for powder and granular bulk materials. It is often called an upper-discharge bin pump. The working cycle begins when a high-pressure feeding valve opens and material falls into the pump tank. Once the pressure reaches the set value, the top discharge valve opens and the fluidized material is pushed through the conveying pipe to the destination silo. The whole process is controlled by a PLC and can be operated manually or automatically.
The top-discharge structure is the core advantage of this pump. Unlike traditional conveying pumps, the material is drawn from the upper part of the tank, which reduces blockages caused by material settlement and dead corners. The top outlet also makes the flow path shorter and smoother, improving the volumetric filling rate and conveying efficiency. Stainless steel pumps are recommended for corrosive, moist, high-temperature, or food-grade materials.
