This case study describes a hygienic pneumatic conveying system for food starch in Lae, Papua New Guinea. The system is automated with a PLC and a touchscreen operation panel. The operator can set the conveying amount, adjust the speed, and monitor pressure and filter status in real time. The control program includes filter pulse cleaning, overload protection, and alarm functions. With this automation, the starch plant reduces labor costs and avoids inconsistent manual operations.
