The plant produces a new type of inorganic powder used as an additive in cement and coatings. Main components include an air compressor, pressure vessel, rotary feeder, DN125 pipeline with ceramic-lined elbows, and reverse-pulse bag filters. The conveying line covers 80 meters horizontally and 15 meters vertically, with a capacity of 5,000 kilograms per hour.

Special attention was paid to the hygroscopic nature of the powder. A drying unit was installed upstream, and fluidized aeration pads prevent bridging at hopper outlets. The control system uses a Siemens PLC with a touchscreen HMI, enabling operators to monitor pressure and flow in real time, set parameters for different products, and receive immediate blockage alerts. A nitrogen-assisted purge function helps clean the pipeline safely during maintenance.

All equipment was manufactured at Headpowder's plant in Shandong Province, China, and shipped via the Port of Mombasa to Kisumu. Since engineers could not travel at that time, Headpowder provided remote commissioning with detailed manuals and video guidance. A local contractor performed installation and wiring. The work was completed in two weeks, and the performance test showed a conveying rate of 5.4 tons per hour, surpassing the design specification by 8%, with stable pressure and no pipeline vibration. After three months of operation, the results have been outstanding. Dust emissions are virtually zero, creating a clean and safe work environment.
